Garage Cleanout
The classic. Whether your garage hasn't seen daylight in 10 years or you just need a refresh before listing your home, we handle the whole thing โ top to bottom, including the sweep when we're done.
Garage Cleanout starts at $199 in Columbus.
Flat-rate, all-inclusive, same-day available. The price you see is the price you pay โ no hidden fees, no surprise upcharges.
What a Columbus garage cleanout actually looks like
A typical Columbus two-car garage has between 400 and 800 cubic feet of stuff that nobody's touched in five years. Old paint cans on a metal shelf. Bikes from the kid who's now in college. A broken treadmill the dog uses as a hurdle. A space heater that may or may not still work. Bins of holiday decorations stacked four-high.
We've cleaned out hundreds of these. Two crew, one truck, and the whole job goes from chaos to swept-and-empty in 90 minutes for a single bay or 3-4 hours for a packed two-car. We bring the dolly, the moving blankets, the brooms โ you don't need to prep a thing.
Show us the space (or text us a photo for a same-hour quote), tell us what stays, and we go. Our Keep-or-Chomp swipe game handles the gray area: we photograph anything we're not sure about, you swipe it Keep or Chomp from your phone, and we haul exactly what you said.
What we'll grab from your garage
Pretty much everything. The most common haul list out of a central-Ohio garage: old furniture stored 'just in case,' bikes nobody rides, lawn equipment that won't start, propane tanks (we coordinate disposal at SWACO), bins of clothes, broken appliances, exercise equipment, paint cans (full or empty), shop-vac that lost its hose, kid stuff that aged out three years ago, and the inevitable mystery boxes.
Things we won't take: actual hazardous waste (motor oil, gasoline, asbestos, chemicals). For those we'll point you to Franklin County's hazardous-waste drop-off events โ it's free and runs roughly monthly.
How much a garage cleanout costs in Columbus
Volume-based, all-inclusive. Most Columbus garage cleanouts come in at our Big Bite tier ($449) โ that covers up to a half-trailer of junk, the labor, the dump fees, the donation runs, and a sweep of the floor. Lighter loads (a single bay with mostly small stuff) usually fit our Snack Bite tier ($199). Decades-of-clutter, full-property situations roll up to Whole Hog ($899+).
What we don't do: charge by weight, surprise-fee at the door, or come back with a 'discovered' upcharge. The quote we give you on a photo is the price you pay.
Why Columbus calls Chomp instead of the city's bulk pickup
Columbus residents can schedule a free bulk pickup through 311, which is great for a single piece of furniture you can drag to the curb. But the bulk schedule is unpredictable, the city won't take everything, and you have to do all the lifting yourself.
We come into the garage, do the lifting, sort donate-vs-dump on-site, and you don't move a thing. If you're staging a house for sale, dealing with a move-out window, or just don't want to spend a Saturday wrestling a fridge to the curb, that's the call.
What 'sorted not dumped' actually means
Every haul gets sorted three ways. Donatable goods route through Habitat ReStore, Goodwill Columbus, or Furniture Bank of Central Ohio depending on what they take. Recyclable metal goes to a Columbus scrap yard. Resellable items get cleaned up and listed under Chomp's Pick. The rest goes to SWACO.
You get an itemized email after the haul showing where things went. Tax-deductible donation receipts are included on request โ most homeowners get $50-200 in deductible value out of a typical garage cleanout.
